The journaling says: I saw a picture of this dress on a website & knew I wanted to make it for you for Christmas. When I finished, I was so proud. There was one big Problem, though. You refused to wear it! We tried putting candy in the reindeer pockets, but that didn't work. Finally, Daddy sat you down & told you that I'd made the dress because I love you so much. You agreed to put it on. Daddy told you how beautiful you looked & you beamed with joy. I cried because you looked so darling & because Daddy loves me enough to cajole a 2-year old into wearing a dress she didn't want to put on! I used Helen's toasty warm kit Cuddle Up available here at GDS. I made the quilt squares using the great papers and then stitched them together with her great stitches. I swear, it felt like I was actually sewing as I was doing it. I know that some of the stitches aren't exactly even, but, hey, that's the way I sew, too. If you look closely at Gracie's dress, you can see all kinds of imperfections there, too! :) The cord for the tag is made from the twine in the kit replicated three times and then grouped together. Think that's about it.... Thanks for looking!

What a sweet story and how kind of her Daddy to convince her to wear your dress. Gracie is adorable. Love the Trip Around the World pattern and stitches (especially the blanket stitch).
