Tip Of The Week

Each week we will be featuring a general digi-scrap tip from one of our instructors.  This week's tip comes from designer/instructor Andrea Gold who teaches the PS CS2/3 GoDigital Classes.

The Crop and Straighten Photos Filter:

Did you know that you can scan a whole load of pictures at one time and Photoshop will cut them apart for you?  Whether you are doing archiving or going through old photos, simply load your scanner bed full of photos and scan them all onto one sheet.  Then, run the crop and straighten filter in Photoshop (File->Automate->Crop and Straighten Photo).  Photoshop will separate all of the individual photos from the one scan into separate image files that you can then save.  This saves a huge amount of time because you don't have to scan all of those photos one at a time and you don't have to crop them yourself!
