brag & Question

So Dh has taken an definit stand on my digital arts intrests. He feels I should be more involved. This has won me some goodies. A few monthes ago I got an external hard drive and now... A laptop!!!!! He was actually happy to get it for me. And despite not being able to get him an wii for his b-day. (cant find them anywhear) So Now I have this wonderfull new item I can drag with me everywhear and scrap or work on my digital photo tuts. :) Only thing is im running into a problem with Windows Vista. I can no longer tell what is in my scrapbooking folder. All my kits are in some funky files now that dont show a full thumb. I think i need to start looking for one of those scraping kit organizers. any sugestions?

ACK! In my house Vista is a four letter word lol. Ick and eww and OH heck no...no way" But since you have made the jump lol there is only one way I do it. I seperate my downloads according to designer or store and I burn the content off. I have a binder that holds 100 cds or in this case dvds and I put them in there. I just can't sit there and seperate kits according to clors and what not so I burn them off periodically and just make sure that they are properly labeled in each folder. If a kit comes with an elements folder and a paper folder etc, I dump them all out into the Kits main folder then put that under the designer. For me, it works for you it might not lol. Geesh, I didn't really help did I? LOL.

Congrats on the Laptop! I told Alex don't buy me a Laptop, I want a Tablet sigh, maybe Christmas ;)

maybe try ACDSee

I've never used it, but have heard that ACDSee is a good one. It does have a 30 day trial, so you aren't out anything if it doesn't work for you.

Oh, yeah, and there's also Picasa, which is completely free, never used this one either, so I couldn't tell you if there are ads associated with it or anything, but it might be worth trying.

Yaaay! That's wonderful Red, congrats! FYI, we've partnered with ACDSee so if you are interested in getting their 30day free trial, just click on the link at the bottom of all pages. Have fun with your new toy!!!!

Hi, are there any ACDSee users out there? If so, can you tell me how to use it with PSE? I tried going to File/Open and then opening the program and nothing happens. I'm not able to access tutorials on their website at this time. I'm using the 30 day trial version and want to be able to be sure I can use it with PSE5 before I purchase the full version. I like the way the program looks so far.

Thanks,

Hi,
Some of the ladies mentioned ACDSee. The Vista version will be available soon. We will be announcing it on our blog at DigiScrapInfo.com when it is available. We also have tutorials to help you get it set up. Getting Started with Photo Manager

Thanks,
Hi,
Open ACDSee Photo Manager and open PSE. Then click on them item you want to scrap with & drag it into your workspace in PSE. It's that easy! There is another way too - you can select an item in ACDSee & use control E (but first you need to do these steps to set it up...

We have a tutorial for digital scrapbookers on Getting Started in ACDSee and Organizing your alphas

Hope that helps!
Connie

Hhhmmm... I may be interested in something like this!

So what does it basically do? I went to the site you provided and saw the tutorials but I was wondering exactly what it does. Where do you get it too?
