How do you save your layouts?

I finally figured out why my computer was running out of disk space... those PSE files of my layouts are huge! I started out by saving all of my layouts in this format as well as jpgs. I then quit saving the jpgs to save room, but now I can't browse through them like I use to. I'm trying to decide if I need to be saving these layouts in PSE format just in case I want to go back and edit them later or if it's unnecessary.

So I'm wondering... how do you save your layouts?

darn good question! I bought an external drive to back up my psd files and to hold my kit zips. I save both the psd and the jpg. I'm open to suggestions!

I also save all mine as psd and keep the jpegs too when I print or post. But I have a large external hard drive. (the kits are there too) So what if it's really for the photos, when we start running out of room I might have to come up with something else, or just get another drive. :o) But that is still a long way off.

I am doing that as well, saving 3 times, PDS, Jpeg and for the web. I need to clean things up as far as if they are printed or not.
Part of the whole organization thing for 2008.

I save psd, jpg & web jpg. Then every December I delete the psd and web jpg's. That way throughout the year I have access to the layered file if I need to change it and the web jpg for posting, but then only archive the regular jpg which is the only thing really good anyway if you need it again in 10 years! Seems to work well (at least until I run out of EHD space ;)

I just save as PSD and jpg for web if I post a layout (not often). Since I still haven't printed any layouts {gasp}, I'm leaving them all as PSD until I do. My EHD is for all my kits and I'm about to move my photos to it as well.

Yes, same here, although I've only done 5 digi LOs so far! LOL! I'm such a newbie.

Currently save the psd, jpg and the web jpg. Although I also have an external hard drive too - learnt my lesson when I recently crashed my Mac and lost EVERYTHING!!!! (Did manage to get it back but not until I'd paid a specialist data retrieval company £165, that's around $330 or so!!!).

Only 5? would never have guessed that by the looks of your ST layout. You are doing great.
