Another new kit, and overlay pack!!

She used the NAture-ally Beautiful Overlays to blend her background and she did an awesome job!

And, here is a kit that I am really proud of, Grandma's Scrapbox:



Let me tell you why I am so proud of it. My grandmother died when I was 9 years old and I was very close to her. I have her recipe box, sewing machine, fabric remnants, all sorts of things, still. The page with the recipes, are actually recipes from her box, and many I remember her making. The ration card was my father's during WWII before he went into the Army, The farmers notebook was my grandfather's, the envelope was a letter to my grandfather from the local bank, the buttons remind me of the button necklaces that I used to make with my grandmother, and the flower is significant because she always had a beautiful garden. I think this kit will be great for heritage layouts and I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Okay, first of all, there is never such a thing as too many overlays! I just love them - one little twist of the blending mode button and you end up with a whole new look.

I am going to have to pick up some of yours - they are just beautiful and the detail is incredible! And Helen, your layout is fantastic with them!

And thank you for sharing so much about your kit! It's just beautiful - I've got some old WWII pictures of my grandfather that are just begging to be scrapped with it!

Hmmm, let's see - how far can I stretch my budget this month???!!! This is absolutely gorgeous, Amy! I had to smile at your list of treasures from your grandmother, because it reminds me so much of my own, and she was my treasure. Your kit offers so much for so many reasons, and I think it is a smashing one for heritage layouts. Grandmothers like mine (and I'm sure yours) were rich with color and pattern, and deserve a colorful remembrance. This is definitely on my wish list!

Your NEW overlays and new kits are GORGEOUS! I saw them in the store this morning and bought them IMMEDIATELY! I love your overlays - ditto what AbitDaffy said - one click of blending (overlay, hard light, soft light, etc) and you get a totally unique look.

And your Grandma's page kit - AWESOME - I have the same stuff from my grandparents and parents and I love heritage kits! LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

Hopefully I will be able to do some scrapping with these in the next few weeks - I have so many new kits from GDS that I'll never catch up with scrapping them all!

Keep up the great work with your designs - and keep them coming.
