?? 3 frames as one layer in a template

Hi,
Was working on a template in pse5.0.
It features a 3 pic frame as one layer, almost like a filmstrip.
I am able to add the 3 pics. The 1st 2 are ok, because I can send back...but what about the last one? The bottom is sticking out of the frame? If I ctrl + g, it starts removing part of the frame?
Does that make sense?
Can you help?
Thanks

I use CS2, so not sure if this helps, but sometimes I use the magic wand tool to click in the middle of the third pic space on the filmstrip layer, then while the selection is still on, go to the third pic layer, then go to select, then Reverse selection, so that the space other than the frame area is selected, and hit delete. That way what's left of the third pic is what will fit in the filmstrip - am i making sense? hope this helps!
