Stacey - if you look at the accents, many are named brushes as they either are my own brushes or were created from brushes. - and yes, stamps is another name.

Here's my layout, using brushes to construct the glitter splats, the journaling plate, and to decorate the paper. Credits in the gallery post.

Hello, here is my entry (first time). I had a lot of fun with this challenge.
I used brushes/stamps from previous OTBS freebies in background and the birds and buddha are from my stash.
The title is ready to fly, which is a favorite song of mine by Richard Marx.

Greetings,
Elysah

Many scrappers use the terms brushes or stamps interchangeably. In my humble opinion, I find brushes (.abr files) to be much more versatile. the size can be changed before placing the image on your layout, insuring that the resolution doesn't get skewed, the angle can be rotated, and you can use them like an actual brush and "paint", with scatter, hue, and jitter settings. They are really fun to play with!

You may also add styles to them and it really changes the entire image. In Paint.net, you can make the same adjustments to any image- so I find both equally as easy to use. :) I include stamps and brush images in the kits because not everyone uses Photoshop programs.

Always Time to Play

That's me. And I just managed to get this in under the wire. The most visible brushes came from Amanda's AOS Mega. I also used several PSE 10 brushes to erase.
