Here's a tip I came across the other day. how to convert any ribbon or line of text (that's been rasterized) into a CIRCLE frame. This opens up all kinds of possibilities in using ribbons and charm braclets, etc from kits - and making frames out of them. Thought I would pass the tip along. It worked for me in PSCS2 - don't know about other software - but if your software has a distort/polar coordinate filter - then this should work.
I made the circle frames on one of the pages out of some ribbons and chain in the kit.
1. Open ribbon.
2. Click Image - Canvas size - and change the HEIGHT to the exact same size as the width of ribbon. canvas size must be a square.
3. Hit cntl+t or click on ribbon to increase size to 200%.
4. Go to Filter - Distort - Polar Coordinates. Click on Rectangle to Polar, and then click Ok.
5. Long ribbon is now a circle - or oval. Just adjust the size and shape of the circle - you might want a circle - you might want an oval.
I thought this was a cool trick. Now you can make circle frames out of ribbons. I know - I may be the only one who didn't know how to do that - but just in case - I thought I'd share.
