Grade 3 ankle sprain. It sounds pretty benign, but I'm in a cast and crutches. I have a follow up visit with the orthopedic surgeon in a few weeks to make sure it isn't more than that. The couldn't see any broken bones, but I was told that it could take a few weeks to show up on xray.

It's a karate accident go figure. But I'm so bummed out because karate is a huge part of my life and it's been yanked away. I can't teach, can't do classes. Plus I can't do anything around the house (although that I don't really mind :twitcy: sorta

I totally understand your being bummed out. I am a RN and worked full-time 12-hour nights until April 2008, when Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome set in. I loved nursing and it was a huge part of my identity and my life. I have had to quit work, and switch from my high level of activity to a very low level of activity.

Maybe in the mean time, you can try some Tai Chi and meditation, as I am sure that karate helped to "center" you.

I know your frustration, and I hope there is no fracture, and that you will be "back on your feet" in no time. Prayers for you and keep your chin up:)

Yaay, glad we have some first timers in here...I'll go easy on you............maybe!!! LOL! 5 minutes to go!

Here's a couple of things to prep you all:

- Ill be giving you 6 prompts, 1 every 10 minutes. This will take an hour.
- When I have given you all of the instructions, you'll have an hour to finish your layout and post to the Speed Scrap gallery.
- The refresh button is your friend! Keep pressing it to see what's going on in the thread.
- Post often because the person posting one lucky random post # will earn a $5 coupon good to my store!
- Since I'm stepping in a the last minute for Shannon, I won't be able to give you a participation bonus until I've had time to create something so look for something from me in the next couple of days via Private Message.
- and last but not least..........HAVE FUN!

You might think I'm silly, but my favorite part of the whole thing was the staple. I don't think of using those, but it's those little touches that really bring it to life. I concentrate so hard on paper, colors, coordination, being a beginner, that I haven't graduated to all those wonderful little details yet. Challenges like this are great for me. I'm trying to talk my mom into coming over and doing it, too :)

Here's mine... it is certainly not one of my best, but considering the circumstances, I guess it's better than nothing:

Thanks to everyone who participated tonight despite being a little challenges, a little in pain, a little frustrated with computers, etc.! The layouts came out great! Be back in touch with a bonus for you all!

Thanks, Holly, for stepping in at the last minute to host this. It was my first and it was REALLY FUN! And talk about "out of my comfort zone" . . . I wasn't anywhere NEAR my comfort zone tonight. And I can't believe all of the beautiful LO's that came out of that hour's worth of panic and frustration!

Oh, no. I forgot to link it all up. Finished my page, and got caught up in bath time. My husband asked me if I won? haha Nope, I lost. haha Too many distractions here. Thanks, though! That was a fun one!

I had completed a bonus for those that did a layout and my desktop crashed with my latest designs with it! I'm trying to recover them so please be patient!

In the meantime, I'll be using randomizer software to pick the winner of the $5 coupon to my store later today!

no problem Holly! Hope you are able to recover everything, that is so frustrating, we lost all of our photos once.......

Sorry to hear about your crash. Can't wait to see what you were creating when you gear up to work on your designs again! As for me, I'm in no rush. Truthfully, the challenge itself was very rewarding for me. Every time I do one of these, I learn so much! Even if I do go back and move things around after it's all done - lol
