I am not sure, but if you go to Resources there is a World Clock that should help you out.

try as I might, I cant figure out the world clock
I think we are in the same time zone -- and the speed scrap is in about half an hour

does this help?

mbm69
12-29-2008, 04:29 PM
Couldn't figure out the world clock either Liz. However, it's 8:30PM here, so that means we are in the same time zone... which means 9PM my time. Thanks!

elenasworld
12-29-2008, 04:39 PM
That is great!
:)
I am so glad I am not the only one who is world clock challenged
I think I am in GMT - 5 when I set the time zone in the forum
I think we are in EST so that chats and stuff are usually at the same time we are. I dont know what I would do if I had to make corrections for time zones -- well I do know what would happen -- I would either be early or late!

britnkaysmemaw2
12-29-2008, 04:41 PM
Come on Liz. It isn't that hard, lol. I am an hour behind you, but I know that because, of course, I was born and raised in the Buckeye State, lol.

Chanin
12-29-2008, 04:51 PM
Sorry I missed out on the time zone talk....because I know nothing about it!! I'm glad that most everything I see is est, since that is my time zone or I definitely wouldn't be at the right place at the right time!!

So...some more Buckeye girls, huh??? Yay!!

Yep, I am a Buckeye at heart, just transplanted to Missouri, lol.

You will get my participation prize - the Country Christmas Clipart and also a random post will be picked and that person will win a $5.00 coupon to my store!

Any questions, just ask...but I am knew at this, so bear with me!!! lol This is my first one, so I'm making it pretty easy, I think....

During the 2 hours we were at my FIL's, about 2 inches of snow accumulated on the car. It is more like a snow shower! We have been having storms off and on since before Christmas.

mbm69
12-29-2008, 05:39 PM
Nancy, I have a friend that is from the Seattle area, and she has told me how much snow they've all been getting this year. It's pretty unusual in those parts.

I see you are from Kimberley BC. Is that more to the south or the north?

nancyrwa
12-29-2008, 05:41 PM
Southeastern BC near the Rocky Mountains. I am actually closer to Calgary than I am to Vancouver. We are about an hour north of the US border.

mbm69
12-29-2008, 05:41 PM
I'm in Canada, and we had lots of snow before xmas, but we had lots of rain and freezing rain over the weekend with now above freezing temps. So everything is melting. I was hoping to go skiing during the holidays... looks like i'll have to take a rain check (pun intended)

Exactly! On Saturday we had all of our windows open since it was so warm! It was crazy, I was wearing short sleeves outside with no coat. A week or so before that, it was crazy cold and our heating bill went through the roof!! It's so weird!

Cathy - nice motto! LOL

We have a motto here... If you don't like winter, tough luck cuz it lasts about 8 months of the year LOL. We only have 2 seasons: long winter and short summer. Fall and spring are so short that we hardly notice them.

Nancy - So you don't have the Vancouver weather at all then. Your weather is probably more similar to what we have here.

Here's my layout
nauset light (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=45669)
(i used twine for my ribbon and the frame I used was already embellished. I probably would have done more journaling on the scalloped mat, but I just couldn't find a journaling block I liked with the colors, so I put the date on a tag and a little description on my frame)

thanks for the great challenge Chanin
this was fun!
