I finished dd costume and thought that I would share. I did a full shoot Friday and deleted the pics of my camera after I thought that they were saved to my computer .... The weather has been cold so I haven't been able to actually do a full shoot but snapped these pictures at a Halloween party Saturday. I so want better pics of her .. this costume is one of the better ones that I have made !

WOW! Sheila, you are more than welcome to do a costume for Elli, ANY TIME!!!!! :D That's just too adorable! And she looks so darn cute in it. We want to see also more photos of her in wearing the costume if you have a chance to do the full shoot again. :) Lovely photos! :)

Very beautiful!!! We also have a couple fairies over here, but not nearly as creative! My oldest dd wanted to be Tinkerbell ("beacause she has blonde hair and blue eyes like me!") and dd #2 wanted to be Rosetta-Tinkerbell's new friend ("because she has red hair and green eyes like me"). Of course, if I wasn't in the middle of horrendous morning sickness now, I would have loved to make their costumes...oh well! Maybe next year!!

I have several folks wanting me to make costumes for them for their Christmas pictures. I have started Ally's and I can't wait to see what she looks like in it. I also want to do an angel one with white wings and a halo. I have actually been told by several people to start doing these on the side ... maybe I will start this up when my photography studio opens. Thanks so much for the comments ladies.

Awwww......that is stunning! I so loved making my kids' costumes. Now they just run out and buy them for their own kids. Too easy and takes the fun out of it for me. I love seeing all the homemade costumes.

awwww - she is so adorable in that outfit - like a fall princess fairy.
love the tulle for the skirt and the wings are awesome!

reminds me of my granddaughters who have been princesses or fairies of some kind every year - sarah is going to be 7 in 2 weeks (wow where did that time go) and ella just turned 5 - and both are princesses again (well Sarah has graduated to French Marie Antoinette outift - can't wait to see her tomorrow in it).

I agree - home made outfits are the BEST!!!!!! thanks for sharing! take some more photos of her tomorrow when she is trick-or-treating! maybe the 'candy' will make her smile more!
