Ok ladies, thanks for joining me! Here we go..............

This speed scrap is all about straight lines, squares, rectangles and lots of papers! So be sure to use a kit that has alot of coordinating papers.

Step 1: One solid or textured background paper and one square sized photo (framed or unframed)

Step 2: Cut 12 small rectangles, all sized the same, out of various papers and arrange them going down the page either on the left side or the right side of your layout
Step 3: Arrange two thin paper strips or ribbons going down the page next to the rectangles
Step 4: Cut and arrange two paper strips (wide) horizontally (one will be above the other) and place them so they are touching the vertical paper strips or ribbons from step 3. Please leave space above and below the these two papers so that the overall background paper shows through a little. Place the photo on the top paper.

I think the hardest part of a speed scrap is (besides getting the internet to play along..) finding the stuff i KNOW i have!!

HollyS
10-07-2008, 10:02 AM
Step 1: One solid or textured background paper and one square sized photo (framed or unframed)
Step 2: Cut 12 small rectangles, all sized the same, out of various papers and arrange them going down the page either on the left side or the right side of your layout

Step 5: The bottom paper from Step 4 will be used as an area for a title, journaling or quote. So please add one of these to this area.
Step 6: Add stitching to horizontal papers to stitch them together as well as to the background paper.
Step 7: Add a word to each of the 12 rectangles from Step 2 that describes something about the person in the photo or something that goes along with your title, journaling or quote. Add a date somewhere on the layout.

And your done! Post to your own member gallery and link back here by 3:00pm eastern and you'll get a mini-kit from me!

By the way, the concept for this speedscrap came from one of ThoughtFilledMe's layouts she did for the Supreme Team contest..after 3:00 I'll post a preview of it here and we can see who all came close :)

When I went back and re-read, I think my vertical strips might be in the wrong place, but they are both touching the rectangles. I tried changing it, but liked what I had come up with.
