It's about time to move from the highchair to a booster seat, and I'm researching options. I was going to get this one (http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Smart-Cooshie-Booster-Black/dp/B0010NSVUC), which my sister has and loves, but then I read that it shouldn't be used on cushioned chairs....of course, all of my dining room chairs have cushions.

Does anyone have a booster seat that they use that would work on my dining room chairs? I'm thinking I'll have to get the kind that straps under the seat.

Here's a video (http://picasaweb.google.com/mosser77/July2008/photo#5228152351239606370) of one reason why I need to get rid of the highchair! :wub1::wub1::nurse::wub1::wub1:

Thanks!

I do not know about booster chairs but I know exactly where you are. Elli started to do that kind of climbing too. Luckily I had decided to buy a high chair that transfers with the child and his/her growing all the way to adult age. :) It's called Stokke Tripp Trapp Here's the link: http://www.stokkeusa.com/tripptrapphome.htm

The interactive tour gives you an idea about it. it has all kinds of accessories (that plastic baby bar was something we didn't have. We got a wooden rail that was attached to a strap to separate the legs). :) I like that fact that it's wooden and you can get it in all kinds of colors. And ok, the child needs a different chair to the dining table but he/she will have a chair that grows into a chair into his room where they can do their homework (when that time comes). They are very popular here in Finland. I think it's a Danish brand. :) If you want photos of the one we have PM me your email address and I'm more than happy to take some and send you some. Ok. They are a bit pricy but then again their using age is very very long and they have a really good guarantee. :)

Elli likes her chair now that I took the bar away. She can climb on it on her own and come down too. She doesn't have any harness when she sits on it. When i tell her that she's a big girl she looks so happy with herself. :) She even wants to sit on it to make puzzles and draw etc.

Hope this gives you some ideas. :)

Hugs,
Ina

I'm looking for the same thing. My kids end up sitting on the bar stools at the counter to eat. The only boosters I can find say to like 35-40 pounds and my kids are past that. Maybe we could swipe some from a restaurant lol...

We have a Kaboost. It goes under the chair and raises it. It fits on any chair and we love it!
