What is a speed scrap??? Everyone meets in our forum at the designated time. You receive an instruction at the start time and then a new instruction every ten minutes for a total of seven instructions/prompts. After the last prompt is given you have one hour to complete your LO and upload to the our gallery and link to it in the forum thread.

Here's an idea of how it went last week... http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7158

Why would you be crazy enough to scrap under pressure like a time crunch? Because itís so much fun!!! And do we ever do anything that doesn't give you participation bonuses? And you could be the one lucky random participant to win a $5 gift card to the store!

To accomodate our international community, we will have 2...yes 2...speed scraps so mark your calendars for the following:

(request email reminder) (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/forum/calendar.php?do=addreminder&e=399)

For those of you who participate in one of these speed scraps you will receive my Dudes with Attitude AddOn.

http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/shop/images/medium/hollyann_dwa_addon_MED.jpg

For those of you whoparticipates today and participated in my Speed Scrap last week too, you will get my Sweet Elegance page kit!

This sounds like so much fun!

I have to take Emi to pick up her new glasses, and then go and pick the other two up from the friend who is looking after them. If and don't stop and chat (lol!!!), I should be back in time!!

There is one in the July Collab and in Verena's new kit if you have those.

Muma
07-02-2008, 08:17 AM
ok for step one you want a close up photo framed .... when you say framed does it have to be a "Frame" or will a border framing the photo work?

HollyS
07-02-2008, 08:18 AM

Here's an example of a sunray paper:

ewb68
07-02-2008, 08:22 AM
I'm late getting started but had so much fun last time. I need to see if I can go and find a "sunray" type paper. Back soon.

Muma
07-02-2008, 08:23 AM
yep its me with a question again .......
Can the bracket mat be created with one of the papers from #2?

ewb68
07-02-2008, 08:24 AM
Yikes - this is a lot more challenging than the last speed scrap! I have no idea what a "bracket shaped paper mat" is either. I'll take a guess.

ShaneMarie
07-02-2008, 08:25 AM
Do we use the sunray or solid paper to make the bracket mat?

Sexy__Eyes
07-02-2008, 08:25 AM
Hey guys Im here...dont know if Ill finish cause Im at work..but Ill try.

HollyS

I'm just not with it today!

Yes, the intent was to use the solid paper from step 2 for the mat...

jenn611

Whew.....I thought it was just me that was totally lost this time!!! LOL

HollyS
07-02-2008, 08:28 AM
If you cannot make a bracket shaped paper from the solid paper, then just cut the solid paper down in size and use regulars on either side of it to decorate it...

ThoughtfilledMe
07-02-2008, 08:32 AM
Okay, I'm a bit behind because it took forever to find the starburst overlay I had just downloaded yesterday. This is fun though Holly and definitely challenging.

LisasMom
07-02-2008, 08:35 AM
Last time, I just *listened* to the clues and was very loosely putting together the layout in my head since things would change majorly at the next clue. Most of the final choices as to papers etc. were made after I had all the clues and started the actual scrapping. So that's what I'm doing now - kind of have a couple different ideas floating around while waiting for things to firm up a little. Does that make sense??

not really getting this part

"make cluster of 2 swirls, 3 flowers or stars and 2 gems"

Cluster means to group things all together instead of spreading them around the layout. Does that help?

HollyS

This layout has a cluster of elements in the bottom right...
