Looking for another exchange to participate in? What about a quick page exchange!! This exchange will be using Doreen's Rustic Fields (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_dnld_info&products_id=1869) kit.

http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/shop/images/large/doro_kit_RusticFields_LRG.jpg

Just create a quick page with this and you'll receive an album back full of quick pages submitted by each of the participants. Check out our Quickpage Exchange Gallery (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=570) to see what the participants have created.

Each participant will submit at least 1 quick page but not more than 2 using this kit (you may include any commercial use supplies as well). At the end of this exchange, all participants will receive all submitted quick pages includnig this one made by Doreen herself!!

Guidelines:

Layouts should be created and saved at 12" x 12" and 300ppi starting with a transparent background.
If you are familiar with creating a quick page in a transparent .png file, please submit it in that format.
If you are not, we have a couple of tutorials to help you in this area: Paint Shop Pro (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1399) & Photoshop (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1385)
If you are unable to create a .png file, please design your quick page by creating your layout and using a white or black area (whichever is of most contrast to your layout) for the photo placements. Save your layout as a flattened .jpg file at full resolution (unless you are submitting a png file already) . I will take what you submit and punch out the areas for photos and convert them to transparent .png files before sending them all back to the participants.
Please name your files as follows to help me track these easier. YourForumName_KitName_QP.png so as an example, mine would be HollyS_rusticfields_qp.png.
Save a preview of your quick page at 600x600 and upload it to the Quick Page Exchange Gallery for all the oooohs and ahhhs!
I will need the preview .jpg at 600x600, and either the .png or .jpg file at the full 12x12 size sent to me. You may use any file sharing site of your choice, or you can zip it up and email me the zip at ghswartz@comcast.net.
Sign-ups are required for this so that we know who is working on pages.
You may submit up to 2 quickpages for this challenge.
The submission deadline for this round is end of the day on Sunday, June 29th. Please be sure to send me the files by that time as well so that I can publish the album download links more quickly.

Okay, I am obviously still new at this, & this is probably a simple thing to do, but I am having trouble. I have my page completed and have it saved as a png file...I know how to upload the preview JPG to the gallery, but the part I need help with is how to get the full size file sent in so everyone else can receive it. The directions say to zip it & email it or use a file sharing site. Well, from what I have read it seems that png files won't zip. So, is my only option to use a file sharing site instead? If so, my next question is what is a site that is good to use? I know nothing about this, so any help will be much appreciated! :) Thanks!

You certainly can zip PNG files. Try 7-zip. http://www.7-zip.org/ After you install zip, all you have to do is put your layout and preview in a new folder, right click on the folder and choose 7zip->add to "yourfilename".zip and that's it. You're best bet after that is to open a free account at 4shared and upload the zip file to 4shared. www.4shared.com. Then, send the download link over email to Holly to the address listed in the instructions. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick response! I downloaded 7 zip, but I am still having the same problem. It creates a zip file, but the size is still the exact same as the orginal file & it is too big for me to email (20.7mb). Can you think of something simple I might be doing wrong?

PNG files do zip, but don't compress when they zip. So, you will need to open a free 4shared account. It's really easy to use. Then, you can upload your 20 mb zip file to 4shared. After you upload it, just click on the file, and you will be show the download link. Copy the link to your email for Holly and she can then download it from your 4shared account. :)

Yes, thank you Andrea! The fact that they won't compress was exactly my problem! (Also, while I was figuring this out, I hurried and made a 2nd page...so I have emailed you a new link that includes 2 QP's) Thanks!
