Painting stitching in a layout using PSE

Hi, I am new to Photoshop Elements 6.0 and was wondering how you colour the stitching in a layout. I am using one of Andrea Gold's new brag layouts.

Hi! Thanks so much for the great question. All templates come in layers. Any layer you can place a paper over and clip it to the layer meaning you can place a paper that closely matches the color you want for your stitching in a new layer right above your stitching layer and press CTRL+G and your there you go, your stitching will be painted with the paper :)

Ditto what Holly said! But if you haven't done an Elements course yet - I can recommend Andrea Gold's PS courses! They are really helpful and everything is explained really well! I'm busy with my second CS3 course and loving it!
