External Hard Drives???

I'm shopping for an external hard drive and have some questions for those of you who have them.

I know what size and speed I want, but in the product descriptions, I'm not sure which is better:

choice 1: Interface Type: IEEE 1394 (FireWire) / Hi-Speed USB
choice 2: Interface Type: Hi-Speed USB

Any suggestions????

Unless you are exclusively using a MAC, I would just go with the high speed USB. If you have a MAC and don't intend to use the drive with a PC, firewire is faster. USB works fine for both though. Also, I love the "portable" drives. They don't need an external power source so they are very convenient for use with a notebook computer where you might not have a power source available on the go! :)

Andrea, what about wireless capability? I have a wireless router and was wondering if an EHD would be able to connect wirelessly through that...so I'm not have to hook up to the EHD every time I want to send something to it.

P.S. I have a PC
