I can over think what size albums to do.
So, its been a huge ordeal to switch my family album to 11x8.5 as of 9/4/07. I've only done one layout and that was the Supreme Team, entry 4. Was close to abandoning that size and going back to 12x12, but I really want to try this size through the holidays.
Which got me curious as to what sizes and albums you are working in.
Here are my current albums [* digital only so far]
12x12-family album up til 9/4/07
11x8.5-family album after 9/4/07
8.5x11-DS's albums
8.5x11-DD's albums, K-6th grade
12x12-DD's junior high album
*11x8.5-DD's high school album
*8.5x11-girls' weekend album
*8x8-dh's birthday album.

How about you? What albums are you doing?

Well, I'm kind of confused myself!
I started (8 months ago) with what seemed to be a standard in the scrapping world: 12x12.
Then, 2 weeks ago, I thought it would be better to scrap in 28x21 cm (that's very similar to 11x8.5) because that's the size of the photo albums I order on the internet, and I was considering including the digiscraps inside. But I received my first album with a LO inside, and i'm very frustrated. That doesn't leave me enough space to have big pictures, especially since they cut the edges of the LO.
So I guess I'll be back on 12x12...

I scrap in 12x12, but the only ones I have printed thus far are the brag book sizes. LOL I guess the printing cost turns me off, so I tend to print the cheaper size. hmmm...maybe that's a good reason to be a rectangle scrapper. Good thing there's a designer here that does templates in 8.5x11.

A lot of people are switching to 8x8 for this very reason.
I like the 12x12 and still have zillions to do in that size.

I do 8x8...I shrink the 12x12 templates and layouts down so I can print them easily. My kids also like the 8x8 because they can tote them around easier! There are so many sizes!

Hmmmmm . . . . well, I started with DS's Welcome to the Family album when he was being adopted, which is an 8.5 x 11. That's a completely paper album though--no digital.

All the digital layouts I've done have been 12 x 12, but I've yet to print a single one. I've been thinking that I might print them out at 8 x 8 instead. Since that's what they look like on my screen--and seem pretty big there--that might be a solution.

I need to start working on a couple of gift albums for grandparents, too. Those, I know, will be 8 x 8.

I just started Digital Scrapbooking myself. Have done all 3 sizes. I'm tring to be authentic and in PSE 5 make them 12 x 12. But, I really like the 8 x 8. I haven't printed any yet. I'm so excited to learn how it all works including this new site I belong to. :-)

I do 4 x 6 to carry in my purse (grandmothers are like that!)
I do 8 x 8 albums to give to my grandsons and lately for their larger, nicer albums which they'll get when they're older.
I did one very thick 8.5 x 11, and may continue that, too
I have never had 12 x 12 printed because they're just way too expensive for old grandmothers! I scrap in 12 x 12, and since my program (DIP) saves pngs so that all the parts/pieces remain moveable, it is easy to transfer the graphics to either 8.5 x 11 or even down to 4 x 6! It also automatically reduces that size to 8 x 8 for printing. Easy!
