Ready for a hug moment?

My son Nick came home this weekend from college.
I hadn't seen him for 5 or 6 weeks!
Well dd, Susan, and dh, Jack drove down to pick him up.
What a long drive that was! They left at 9am, and didn't get home until 8pm.
Anyway....
Dgs, Nathan and I were outside waiting for them. Nathan ran to Nick, saying, Uncle Nick! I missed you so much! and hugged and held onto Nick for at least a minute.
As soon as Nick detached Nathan, he came right to me and I got the biggest hug I've ever had. I couldn't believe how happy he was to see me.
Susan and Jack started teasing him, saying, hey we only got a handshake!
He has lost at least 10lbs. He's so skinny.
It felt so good to be missed so much. He missed me as much as I missed him.

awww...how sweet. And you were worried that he would forget you. The question is how much laundry did he bring home with him for you to do and what meal did he insist that Mom make him. Those are the things that I loved when my son used to come home for a visit...

awwww how sweet!!! My girls are younger but I absolutely LOVE the big smiles and the hugs I get when they get home from school each day!

Awww, yes, thank you for sharing! I love hearing special moments like that too. With my kids, if the baby is not spitting up on me, it's my teen rolling her eyes at me. Heehee....just kidding...sorta... LOL

He did bring laundry home, but his Dad took care of that.
I made 6 lbs of fudge for him to take back with him. lol

Oh Maisie how great it must seem to have him back home for a visit. Even at this age they seem to grow when you don't see them even for a short time. Enjoy your hugs and your time with him while he's home.
