Since a bunch of us are having so much fun making blinkies these days, I thought I would start a thread where we can share our creations :biggrin:

Hi! I love blinkies too, although I'm not sure I can share mine: I've made them for designers or creative teams. I show you the ones I love the most. The first one was made for redju (a designer), and the 2nd one for a french company building seats for airplanes.

great idea Beckie! I will get on it soon, I have a yucky head cold right now... blah. I love your new blinkie though, its awesome! What size should we make them, cuz I noticed the ones I made were too big or too small?

the right size for blinkies is 150x50 pixels.

I make mine 150x50 - I think that's the standard size, but people make them bigger/smaller too.

I just snagged one. :D
I only have 5 blinkies in my signature, but when I try to add another, it tells me only 6 are allowed and to go back and change it. um...isn't 5 less than 6?? and then one more should still work... :confused:

There is a way to cheat: if you host your blinkie somewhere, you can just "call" it with that line:
[ img ] the_url_of_your_blinkie [ / img ]

just get rid of all spaces in the line.

That's what I have been doing. All 5 (plus the 6th one) are hosted at photobucket. I'm trying to make them shorter by using tinyurl.com, to see if that is affecting it. I do have other things to do today, but this is more fun. :D

Ha!! I figured out what it was!! I had the same code in there twice for the same blinkie, so when I tried to add the "6th" it was actually adding a "7th". got it now! :D

I had a similar problem the other day: I couldn't see my blinkie. I thought maybe it was because the name was "blinkie_designer.gif", and the word designer was not allowed? I tried to change the name 2 or 3 times, before I realised I was not on the right folder....

Just as an fyi, I did increase the max from 4 to 6 sometime ago, probably after this thread was started...so you all weren't going crazy :)
