Someone had an easy tutorial for creating a blog background and I'm trying to figure out where this tutorial came from. Any ideas? I'm working on my first blog for my school and I want to make it special!!

This is the tutorial I used.

Of course, I used GDS products when I did my blog! :)
Here's another resource:

Jeanette is a sweetie...I used her tutorials when I set up my own blog.

Thanks ladies. I did my first blog post and I'm pretty excited. I'll look at these sites so I can make it cool looking.

Next question...
I used an alpha I purchased at GDS and some background paper for my header. Am I supposed to credit the designer? I'm new to blogging and website making and this is a website for my school so I'm not selling anything so I'm not sure. If you'd like please go here http://www.austinisd.org/schools/details.phtml?id=098&lang=
and click on "Visit our main website" then you will see what I'm working on. Under my picture is a link to my blog. Let me know what you think. It's just a beginning and I'll be working on it all year long.

Anna - when I created my blog, I used a few pieces from Dawn Inskip. I emailed her first to get permission before I created my blog. It's probably a good idea to just send an email to the designer. I've found most of them accommodating!

hey anna
i purchased a few blog kits that had everything all together and there were TOU's included. one of them required me to use some of their links on the blog page.
I am with Darlene, most designers are accomodating, but best to ask first. Especially since it is your school's blog.
You are so industrious! And during summer vacation too :)

Yes, I always read the TOUs first AND ask the designer if I'm using any scrapbook products. I know some love you to use their stuff and some aren't okay with it. I always like to give them full credit and put a link to them on my blog too as thanks.

Thanks for all this info. I did use a couple of pieces from different designers and I really don't know where I would add credits since it is a school website and blog and I'm not going to do any advertising so I'll send emails and let them know that I will take it down if they would like me to do so. Next time I'll do that first.

OK, contacted one designer now looking for KK. Can't remember names but I know she is no longer at GDS so any ideas on where to contact her?
