And my step-mom and brother are coming in for a visit at the last minute so I'll keep it simple.

We're starting with a multi photo template. That's your hint :D If your program doesn't allow the use of templates just choose more than one photo.

See ya Friday night!
Val

SparkysGirl
03-26-2010, 03:41 PM
Hey ... Belinda ... one of the hints Val gave was that a template was involved. Are we supposed to use a template we have already, or are you going to provide one? I just want to hunt through mine if I need to use one I've already got ... I'm planning ahead?

OR ... is that part of the challenge? You're not gonna tell us till the SS?

dylabel
03-26-2010, 04:14 PM
I'll tell ya :) You can use a multi photo template or simply use multiple photos - if you need a template you can browse Val's blog:

Yeah ... I was shamed into making mine. Mine was very, very boring before. I had an animated one awhile back, but I made it in DIP. Hadn't figured out how to make one in PSE ... so, I took it as a challenge and learned how to do it. It was fun! It's too big, though ... I'll make it smaller next time.

Belinda ... is your daughter sick? Gosh ... thanks for hosting if she is ... I know that's tough!

All of mine have been sick over the last week and a half with strep throat - she is the last and since she is the one that has to do everything with such drama she got the cough the worst...that barky itchy kind. Just thankful it hasn't hit me (knock on wood) but if I haven't gotten it by now I doubt I will :)

dylabel

2. for your background paper choose a plain kraft paper or cardboard paper
3. Now choose 1 kit to complete your layout
4. use 3 papers from the kit you chose to add some interesting paper layering to your layout. (use shapes, layer some above photos, strips, etc)

I should be on 5 by my count...but alas I am behind lol

Oh my! We went through that when mine were younger. It was a pattern until we figured out that the youngest is a "carrier". Once we had her tonsils removed ... the pattern stopped. Knock on wood ... none of us have had it since. Lots of hand washing and Lysol should make sure you don't get it. It is tough to get over ... and I'd be a big baby about it too!

That is pretty much what I have . . .

Sorry to hear they have all been sick Belinda. You have had a rough couple of weeks haven't you.

All of mine have been sick over the last week and a half with strep throat - she is the last and since she is the one that has to do everything with such drama she got the cough the worst...that barky itchy kind. Just thankful it hasn't hit me (knock on wood) but if I haven't gotten it by now I doubt I will :)

Thanks Teri--yours is super cute too. We definitely need a tutorial on the moving ones though. Hint Hint Lisa!!!!!!

Sounds like you've had your hands full. Hope they're all feeling back to normal soon, and hope you don't get it.

Just noticed - Dona and Cathy both have pretty siggi's too - even if they don't move!

Thanks, Teri.

Yeah, Belinda, your poor tailbone would not like the coughing. That's what we've been in bed with this past week, and it is sucky!

1. Choose a multiphoto template to base your layout on.
2. for your background paper choose a plain kraft or kraft-ish paper or cardboard paper
3. Now choose 1 kit to complete your layout
4. use 3 papers from the kit you chose to add some interesting paper layering to your layout. (use shapes, layer some above photos, strips, etc)
5. use some sort of attachment to a photo to the background (buttons, staples, stitches, clips, etc)

Sorry if I am going too fast - I feel like I am so behind! Remember you have one hour to post so you'll have some extra time :)

Belinda, you're really a honey tonight--so far your instructions have matched my template and kit, once we got beyond that kraft paper thing!

I realized after the fact that we were supposed to use just three papers
I started to redo the layers, but there were too many squares. So I have one for the journaling mat, one for the flowers and then all the stitched squares.

Thanks for the fun SS Belinda
