I'm not sure if hubby has loaded CS3 (my old one) on his machine yet or not... if he has I can use it to attend the speed scrap.. but I just can't do it on this 15" monitor with a slow computer !! by the time I've refreshed the screen the scrap would be OVER!! Whooopss... forgot the last post. I must be in lala land.

1. layer 3 papers however you would like. 1 paper should be leafy or floral print.
2. add your photo. frame, mat or mask it.
3. tuck some foliage, leaves & flowers between your papers. As much as you would like.
4. use some more foliage, leaves, flowers and make a cluster on the side or around your photo.
5. add a ribbon or string
6. place some glitter or spray under your cluster
7. add some journalin, word art OR title

finish shadowing
upload to the speed scrap gallery
and make sure to post a link here too

You did a great job on your FIRST speed scrap, Michaela. I can't think of one thing that might improve it ... I especially loved the shout out in the middle for the $5 coupon! That was awesome!

Congrats Lisa!

I would definatly love to host some more speed scraps and would love some imput! Should I have made the steps a little more easier? Should I have given better hints before the scrap? Any other tips?

the hint was perfect
and I think your steps were easy enough, but still challenging
when we got the hint of garden theme, at least I had a kit in mind that had floral items and outdoorsy elements

i had a lot of fun

Here's mine (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=79679), from a trip to Meijer Garden, a garden-museum and outdoor sculpture park. This was from my vacation to Michigan last summer. :)

I made a couple of changes to the "recipe" because this page needs to fit in with the others I've completed for this vacation already. I wanted to showcase multiple photos, but to keep in the spirit of the recipe, I made one photo "front and center and framed it, using the others to fill in around it. Also, the kit I was using had a scatter of beads that coordinated, so I incorporated that where the recipe called for spray or glitter.

This was a great speed scrap! It was much like other ones I've done. I especially liked the hint at the beginning, that made it much easier to get started. :)

The only suggestion I would make is that the first post of the thread be updated with each step as they are announced in addition to it being posted in the thread itself. That makes it much easier to find the directions quickly!

Thanks for a fun speed scrap! Looking forward to doing this again!

I know I am late and to late to participate, but I continued on my own.

Through this speed scrap, I noticed I have very little florals. I must not be a floral kind of a girl. LOL I love the solids and textures.

This is what I came up with. I still have tons of practice to do.

Here's a tip re: above... if you click on the *number* of the post.. you will get a new tab/window opening with *just that post* in it... so now you can flip back and forth between that single post and the regular chatter posts and not loose the post you need.... it's a very handy tool!!

But it really does help to keep a list running in the original post for those late to start. It can be very difficult to locate the current steps in 15 pages of posts.
