So it's Sunday afternoon (PST) and I'm beat!!.....I've spent the last coupla days in Spring Clean Fling mode. I've junked a bunch of stuff throughout my house that just doesn't work, got 4-5 boxes full of clothes ready to donate, a few bagsfull of toys to donate as well....you get the idea, lol. My closets are bare, my rooms looks just a little bit bigger, and I must say that I feel all purged and clean-like...I just know that I'm really gonna pay for it tomorrow with my back, but hey, I figure that just means I get to sit here and scrap!! :p

So what did you do this weekend????:D

I kept my almost 3 year old grandson over night, on Saturday. We played and giggled until the wee hours of the morning. Then got up early and watched cartoons and went for a walk, where he decided he didn't want to walk back. LOL
So guess who got to carry him back???

We were at the beach boardwalk with another family, who had two spanking new bikes, and Jared climbed onto the one his size, and within 5 minutes of panting and running alongside holding his bike, I realieid he was able to ride the two-wheeler by himself!!! That was such a wonderful feat for him! The last time we tried was more than a year ago, and it failed miserably and he was so discouraged. So that's what we're celebrating this weekend!

Aww Maisie sounds like you had a really good time with your grandson!!.....what a great grandma you are letting the lil guy stay up till all hours of the nite!:love-smiley-011: ....sounds like a really great weekend, even if you had to carry him back from your walk...:D

Yin: Congratulations to Jared on riding the 2 wheeler!! yaay!! I still haven't reached that milestone with mine, but in all fairness, they really don't get too much time to practice...:confused1: ...a day at the beach boardwalk sounds like fun!! Too bad the weather out here isn't cooperating at the moment, that sounds like a really good idea!!

Well....I have one word! Baseball! My dad drove down to watch the boys baseball games friday night. Unfortunately both were at the same time so it was hard juggling both games and keeping up with my littlest one. But we all survived and had a great time! Then we were right back at the field Saturday for a 2 hr long practice for my 8 year old in weather that just looked like the skies were gonna open up to drop tons of rain. Never did, just sprinkled. But the highlight during that time was being able to have another baseball field all to ourselves and me, my middle son, and my youngest son being able to play our own little baseball. My 4 yr old was just thrilled that he FINALLY got to play! And of course the middle son felt proud to be able to show his little bro a few things on the field :). When practice was over, my oldest was worn out and upset that the entire team had to pay for one person's mistake...the coach worked them hard!

Sounds like everyone had busy weekends. Our photo studio had 2 proms last night - so my hubby and daughter worked one and another assistant and I worked the other. Both were small rural schools. Next weekend we have two more - for large schools here in the city (wish me luck, because the assistant who helped me basically got herself fired last night - so now we have to find someone else - or actually 3 more people since we really each need 2 assistants - for next weekend)

The rest of the weekend has been spent on the computer creating print composites and working on the website for the studio.

Wow! Busy weekends for everyone! Saturday morning I tutored my cousin for his maths exam, so my aunt and uncle took the girls out for a walk so that he could concentrate! Then, in the afternoon, I blitzed my back garden - cut things back, mowed the lawn, and my uncle took loads of the rubbish to the tip for me, so the girls and I were able to have our first meal this year out there which was nice - then spent the evening with a glass of wine (me) and glasses of coke (the girls) and just played games etc in the garden!

Sunday we cut the front lawn and tidied it up, then sat out in the garden again, before going to my Dad's for dinner and a walk to the park.

Can you tell we were making the most of the nice weather seeing as its meant to rain this week!!

We cleaned the fish tank on Saturday and on Sunday, while my partner was out for a ride on the motorbikes with some friends I SCRUBBED my bath until it is the whitest it has ever been. The fumes from the chemicals were interesting. I got another room tidied from my fume breaks lol

Sounds like we have all been really productive

Cool Xaria, do you have a salt or fresh water tank? My hubby has a salt water one and even tho he is a chemical engineer, he fusses with it all the time trying to get it just right. We've lost many a creature in that thing but it is relaxing to just sit and watch the life go on in there!

Worked on my kitchen...we are nearing the end of renovating the kitchen in our 95+ year-old house. It looks amazing! All we have left to do is the counters, install the sink & the stove...then move back in. I can't wait!

Sounds like everyone was busy...have a good week:wink:

This is so great reading about everyone's weekends!

Saturday was "Opening day for Baseball" and Hannah was in the parade, or shall I say suppose to be in the parade. We got a flat tire on the way there but managed to make it there for opening ceremonies and then she had her very first t-ball game and scored 3 runs!

Later that night we ended up in the emergency room when she climbed up on the counter and then fell with a glass in her hand and cut her fingers pretty badly... luckily the doctors felt only bandaids were needed and she and I were sure happy about that!

lazy quiet sunday here playing and swinging and walking the dogs. Whew, thank goodness for a beautiful and calm Sunday!

Oh Debra, I'm so glad you little one is ok. My 3 year old had a fall from the countertop a year ago when I got a phone call and had to be life flighted! They're so busy some times! My weekend was very quite. My husband pulled dandelions out of my lawn for 4 hours Saturday and I refused to help! LOL! I hibernated all weekend. But, I did get a swing set out of the local classifieds for only $5! Love that!

Great idea for this thread - sounds like everyone had a busy weekend.
We were busy too! One of our friend's daughters got married on Saturday, and we escorted the bride to the church in one of our Model A cars.
We then drove the bride and groom around after the wedding to Cantigny for photos in its lovely gardens. We went to the rehearsal dinner on Friday night and we were tied up with the wedding all day Saturday and night.

It's been a while since I have worn dress shoes with heels for that long - and boy did my feet hurt Saturday night and then on Sunday. But we had fun. I think I took over 400 digital photos over the weekend for the family - and I should have some photos to digiscrap here in the future.

On Sunday, I played catchup with some of the challenges here. My husband just went out of town today for 3 day business trip - so I can get a LOT done on the computer while he is gone - and stay up as late as I want to. Yea!!!!
