Hi there...

I'd like to request that there be some weekend speed scraps for those of us who work and live in this Hawaiian time zone ;) I can hardly ever join a speed scrap because of the incredible time difference. So I'm requesting maybe a Saturday/Sunday evening if the host is on the east coast or morning if the host is on the west coast.

Please please :frown:

Hi Jeni - what exactly is your time zone??
Mine (in Finland) is EEST= GMT+3

Maybe we can co-ordinate the Speed Scrap somehow to fit.

I am GMT -10...so you are 13 hours ahead of me. If you had a speed scrap at 9pm then I could join you at 8am my time.

Is the morning a good time?

So, in Italy (GMT +1) it would be 7pm. That would be good for me too!

Saturday or Sunday mornings are great!

Great idea!
Well, I am not in Hawaii, although I would love to be. Probably no snow and temperatures below freezing point there...
In Holland, we are on GMT +1 as well. Only problem I could run into at 19.00, is that we either have not finished dinner, and that my little princess usually goes to bed around that time. And believe me, the words speed and bedtime don't go together very well. :twitcy:

I know what you mean. I can't do them at night due to being at work. I would love a day time one.

That's 3 pm in Amsterdam - if I can get my hubbie to watch my girl, I'll surely be there! Ooooo that would be so much fun.

just curious... what IS a speedscrap? How do you do it on a chat?

Carolyn, some speed scraps are in the chat area, but most we do right here in the forum. The person moderating gives prompts every 10 minutes or so, ending after one hour, and you have an additional hour to finish the layout and post it in the gallery. Most speed scraps have a theme, or the moderator has an idea of what the final layout will have. The last one we had with Jenn was about "goodbyes" and the interpretation of that theme was up to each individual. Jenn gave prompts for the papers, photo, and elements to go on the page. Check through that thread to see what it was like. Of course, we do some chatting during the scrap:wink:. You just have to keep refreshing the browser page to see the new posts. It works pretty nicely!

Sorry honu...i read your time difference calculation as 9am here would be 9pm there. I guess I got it backwards....I was really doing this one for you!

Oh well, I will schedule another one at 9pm on a saturday soon...

Would there be any interest in an early morning or afternoon SS? I can do one at 8 or 9 am eastern time, 1 or 2 pm eastern time. I know some of you don't really get to do the SS's because of time differences so give me some times and we'll get one going!

If you have a special time request let me know:)

8 am on a Sat. or Sun. is great with me. A 1 or 2 pm on a Sat. or Sun. might also work depending on what else is going on during the weekend.
