Amy, I could never figure that out so I made my own. It takes awhile but I just do the colors straight from the pic on a layer then cut it out with the cut tool. But I think this is the website for the palette generator. Hope it works out for you. I think it is much easier if you can figure it out.

I've been anxiously waiting and now that storm is really happening. Not so much where I live but closer to North Austin where my daughter lives. She just had her car totaled by the last hail storm and now they are saying tornadoes are possible. I'm here for now but may not finish....depends on the weather.

K, probably a dumb question, but by coordinating patterned, do you mean the same color as the solid & then the contrasting be a different color? That is how I interpret that, but want to make sure I am on the right track :)

1. Pick 3 Papers - one solid, one coordinating patterned, and one contrasting pattern.
2. Select 3-4 photos. Crop one into a large rectangle with a double matte, 2 into small equal sized squares with single mattes, and the 4th into a small rectangle with a single matte. If you only have 3 photos, this 4th space can be used for embellishing.

Border the curve with a patterned paper on the curve and a contrasting strip of paper on the straight side.

On the double matted large photo, you'll want to use at least one of the papers you already have, but on the single matted ones, you can use other solids (besides the ones you picked in the beginning).

3. Use a CURVE on your page. This will be where we put our journaling later on. If you don't have one, you can download one HERE.
Border the curve with a patterned paper on the curve and a contrasting strip of paper on the straight side.

(I am visioning right now yours with nothing on it yet, one more under it with the patterned paper to mimic the curve and then the background paper to the right of that the contrast paper...is that somewhat what you mean?)

Hi Margo! Glad you found us!

Here are the prompts so far...and don't worry about being behind, because you'll have an hour to finish afterwards!

Well, you can do it either way....clip the patterned paper to the template, and do your journaling in the "white space", or clip the solid to the template so you can do your journaling there.....

It can be wherever you want it, however if you don't have a "vision" yet, put it on the right side, about 1/3 of the way into the paper. (so you'll have some "background" paper showing on either side).

The patterned paper is going to be layered underneath the curve shape so that it borders the curved side (unless you have a different vision.) You can also use it as one of the mattes on your large photo.

I didn't, but I can, LOL.

Put the large rectangle in the center of the page (the curved shape w/ borders will be up against it on the straight side of the curve.)

the two small squares can be placed in the top portion of the curved shape, and the small rectangle needs to be touching the large rectangular photo somewhere.

When in doubt...go with artistic interpretation!

4. Use small circles to layer over and under the photos. These can be cut from your papers, circular embellishments, brushes, or anything you like.

6. Journal on the empty space of your curved paper, create your title, and put at least part of your title in brackets.

you have a contrasting pattern bordering the straight side of the curved shape, then the paper clipped to the curved shape, and then the other paper (depending which one you clipped to the shape) bordering the curved side.

Definitely can't write these at midnight anymore. :frown:

ok ladies - name some kits with brackets?

you can always use a bracket in your font, make it big, rasterize it, duplicate the layer, move duplicate layer underneath the original, then stroke it. You can then clip whatever paper you want to the stroked layer to make it look like a sticker or to just stand off the page a bit

Ok, so where is the example of what it's supposed to look like??

Liz - thanks for the tip on the brackets. I TOTALLY forgot that they were on the keyboard - lol

HERE (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=58702) is my "artistic interpretation" layout!! That was challenging, but always fun, Jenn. I needed to work on my "mojo".
Will leave love later, as I am "spent". Great job, ladies!!

That's the cool thing about artistic interpretation, Adriana...there is no "supposed to be"....it's so much fun to see everyone's take on things!

OK, finally got my computer to cooperate. But, had to completely redo the lo. The only file it would let me into was the Saved for Web file. I added a text path was the only thing different from when I originally posted.

It looks like you all had fun last night, and I love the layouts you all posted.

My family was given last minute FREE tickets to "The Greatest Show on Earth" and just couldn't pass on that. My 7 year old son just had this look of amazement plastered to his face through the whole show, and my 17 year old daughter and I were laughing - we all had so much fun.

This is the 3rd ss in a row that I've missed for one reason or another, and I'm really jonesing {shakes with withdrawals} I REALLY hope that I can make the next one.
