Happy, Happy Birthday. I know this might not be the place to ask but what's the difference between PSE, PSC2 and Photoshop 7?

PSCS is essentially PS8, PS7 is (of course) the previous version (and now the current version is PSCS2, with PSCS3 out in beta and ready to hit the store shelves soon)

All of the above would be considered the "professional" versions

PSE or elements is basically a home version. It has everything you would need to scrapbook and enhance your photos with. If you are going to use the program for more, though, for instance if you were planning on designing digi kits - whether for your own use or to sell - you would probably want to upgrade to the professional version.

As far which version to get - there were vast improvements in CS over 7 (can't really remember what, now, as I have had CS for quite some time). The only improvement in CS2 that impressed me was the font viewer - which wasn't enough for me to invest in the upgrade. I haven't tried CS3 - so I don't know if there are any worthwhile improvements in that one.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I'm a newbie and I'm still learning how to use Elements so the others are not for me yet. My big problem is that I don't have an original thought in my head so I won't be designing. I mostly have to scraplift. Maybe I'm just getting old. Have a wonderful day.
