View Full Version : Win My New Kit Biggest Fan-Play Digi vs Paper

04-22-2009, 07:26 AM
I'm going to start a new fun game with my kit releases...it's called Digi vs Paper
My dear girlfriend owns a scrapbook store. So I sent her my new kit Biggest Fan and asked her to price it if it was a traditional kit.

http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/shop/images/medium/_alisha/omaat_biggestfan_MED.jpg (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_dnld_info&cPath=29_99&products_id=3945)

Your challenge is to guess what you would pay for it if you had purchased all the pieces traditionally! Click on the image to go to the store and check out the list of what's included. The one who comes closest to the number she gave me will win the kit for FREE!! Do not include any bonus items like the BB Pages, just the main kit. Please guess in dollars (I'm not well traveled enough to convert currency :twitcy: )

You have until Friday, April 24, 2009 at midnight EST to play! I'm excited to see your guesses!! If you don't want to play be sure to pick it up while it's on special 25% off (a steal once you see the revealed paper price)

04-22-2009, 07:29 AM
Oh now that's an interesting question! I absolutely love this kit...the colors are perfect and it's grungy! Gonna have to get this to scrap this year's bball pics of my boys!

04-22-2009, 07:30 AM
I would say it would cost $30 in a store

04-22-2009, 07:42 AM
Oh my! This is perfect for all 3 boys this year. One team is blue, one is red and the other is maroon...

My guess is $32.99

04-22-2009, 07:46 AM
ooh I'll say $35.50. Nice job on this, great colors & patterns! -jess

04-22-2009, 08:14 AM
I came up with $48.06! Things must be more expensive where I live!
I love it and I'm going to pick it up for my boys bball pics! :)

04-22-2009, 08:15 AM
Fantastic kit, Alisha! LOVE the colors and the theme is fabulous! Can't wait to see what numbers everyone comes up with!!

04-22-2009, 08:29 AM
Love the kit! My guess is $33.50...

04-22-2009, 08:34 AM
My guess is based on the fact that for the most part, you don't get one item in a package. For example I can get 2 paper stars for about 1.99 and depending on the detail it could be 2.99or 3.99 so my gues for your kit would be about 130.00. What a deal!!!! I've spent so much on paper-digi items that I only use one piece of then can't figure out what to do with the rest.

So if I was going to but a "kit" with these exact items, 45.00. I guess you save in the long run with a kit vs. individual pieces.
Thanks for the challenge.

04-22-2009, 08:47 AM
My guess is $32

04-22-2009, 08:48 AM
What a great game!! I can't wait to see what eveyone comes up with (and what your friend does!). This is an awesome kit...I especially love that dotted paper and the All Star frame. :)

04-22-2009, 08:54 AM
I don't have kids and don't do baseball, but I'm still in love with this kit - it's gorgeous!! I love earthy tones. If you do an add-on for this, can you add in some more mossy green papers or elements?? :) Or maybe a neutral dusty blue? Also - LOVE the baseball stitching. Too cute!!

I shop cheaper than you all, so I'm going to guess 27.99!

I also like the CT stamp on the previews - that's cool!

This kit has a really nice feel with lots of versatility - good job!

04-22-2009, 09:13 AM
What a cute kit. My guess is $39.99.

04-22-2009, 09:15 AM
My guess would be $24.99 ..

04-22-2009, 09:26 AM

04-22-2009, 09:28 AM
I see kit like this in Wal-Mart and they retail around the $19.97 mark, but the specialized store would sell them for a lot more would be my guess.
I have so much paper scrapping stuff that I didn't use over time that I paper scrapped. Digi scrapping is a wonderful bargain and you never run out of your favorite colors or items.

04-22-2009, 09:55 AM
I would think that to purchase everything either by itself or a package...My guess would be for everything in the kit...$100.00Buying one sheet of paper alone is pretty expensive. =) I wasn't sure if you wanted it to be individual or as a kit all packaged together so if that was the case I would think it would be$49.99

I'm so excited for this sports kit--you the bomb Alisha!

04-22-2009, 09:59 AM
I would guess that if you bought it separately, it would cost $46.00.
It's a gorgeous kit.

04-22-2009, 11:24 AM
Love the colors in the kit and it is a large kit. I would guess $19.98

04-22-2009, 11:59 AM
This is probably my favorite kit of yours so far!!! (I am a sporty girl 100%) except I may have to have you make me a VOLLEYBALL!!! (I will help you draw one if you need... they can be tricky... I am guessing that is why there isn't one in your kit????) Shamefull...:nope: Just teasing you!

anyway... I am guessing I know where you got this thing priced at... :hmmmm:
so my guess is $63.00!!! (I rounded UP to the nearest dollar) YIKES! That is the #1 reason I went digital!*woot

Good Job! I can't wait to find out what it really is! See you SATURDAY!! :party1:

04-22-2009, 12:18 PM
okay, so I am a huuuuge paper scrapper. I have nearly $10-20 thousand dollars in scrap supplies, PLUS an entire scrap room..... I literally added up each item as per what I KNOW my scrap shop would charge, so hopefully I am close.... this is without taxes or coupons, k?! LOL!!!

I GUESS: $43.96

P.S. the only trouble I really had was trying to figure out whether your friend added up the ribbon as sold per the yard, or as 12" strips. I went with "sell by the yard" since that is typically how it's purchased! :-) This is a way cool and fun challenge!

04-22-2009, 01:23 PM
Hi, I do both paper and digi scrap, so I'm going to guess 19.50. Hope I'm close! Thanks for the great contest!

04-22-2009, 01:55 PM
Great kit Alisha! Especially for those sporty LOs.
I usually buy with coupons or on sale and I have been buying mostly digital for over a year now! And I am dealing in Euros!!!
So I would guess the paper alone is $20, then the over 55 embellishments are probably another good $50. So if you bought it as a kit, I would say $35.

04-22-2009, 02:00 PM
My guess is $90.00
Beautiful kit BTW. Love the colours and the vintage elements.

04-22-2009, 02:25 PM
Lovely kit. Great game

I am guessing the kit at $65.00 (nearest dollar).

04-22-2009, 04:02 PM
Great kit! I'm going to guess $75.00. I never really got into paper scrapping, I just never had the patience for all the mess & clutter. So this is just a guess.

04-22-2009, 05:22 PM
I'm sooooo guessing... I've never bought a paper kit, LOL. How about $27.50?

04-22-2009, 05:28 PM
I have a boy who is only 10 months old... but we just bought him his first mitt yesterday!! LOL My two girls have them, too, though. I played softball growing up. And I love love love this kit!!! And I can't afford paper scrapbooking anymore nor do I want to as I'm addicted to the digital process. But I'll guess around $42.99? Probably should go for more, but I'll stick with that.:head_hurts_kr:

04-22-2009, 05:31 PM
I bought the kit - couldn't wait. The amount of stuff is incredible. Can't even guess an amount. But if I had to, I would say $39.95 on sale.

I love it though. Here (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=54898&ppuser=10417) is a layout I did using it. It is not sports orientated, but that shows how versatile the kit is. Thanks!

04-22-2009, 05:45 PM
Well I guess I'll go for $62.95 using the insiders info without the rounding LOL

04-22-2009, 05:54 PM
Im going to guess $31.25

04-22-2009, 06:08 PM
pricing it per piece I got $43.40. That's what I love about digi scrapping

04-22-2009, 06:30 PM
Lovely kit! I would say around the $59 mark...

04-22-2009, 07:15 PM
I would say around $51.50.

04-22-2009, 07:34 PM
I'm guessing $39

04-22-2009, 08:26 PM
This kit is great and the guess game is so nice!

04-23-2009, 02:23 AM
LOVE this kit!!! My guess is $19.99. I haven't bought a "traditional kit" in sooooo long I'm probably way off base...

Have a beautiful day :)

04-23-2009, 03:31 AM
I haven't been paper scrap shopping in awhile but when I added it up from what I used to buy ... my guess is going to be $50.75

04-23-2009, 04:14 AM
Very cute kit, love the colors. I am going to guess $56.00

04-23-2009, 05:20 AM
Wow this is great. I would love this for my sporty hubby and daughter. As a (former) paper scrapper with a huge stash left I am guessing US$ 64.95 Now in Singapore I can tell you this kit would be over 100.

04-23-2009, 05:29 AM
Love this kit! My guess is $56 buying everything separately.

04-23-2009, 06:47 AM
My first guess was going to be 39.99 but I saw someone already had that. So my final guess would have to be 44.95 (and someone probably already has it too :)

04-23-2009, 07:06 AM
This is such a fun game. Now, I have never been a paper scrapper partly because it never interested me and partly because of the cost. So, I have NO IDEA how much this would retail for, but I will venture a guess at about $75. Probably too high, but like I said, I have never paper scrapped. This kit is packed with LOADS of goodies, though!

04-23-2009, 07:18 AM
Absolutely gorgeous kit!!! Can't wait to see who wins!

04-23-2009, 07:31 AM
This is probably my favorite kit of yours so far!!! (I am a sporty girl 100%) except I may have to have you make me a VOLLEYBALL!!! (I will help you draw one if you need... they can be tricky... I am guessing that is why there isn't one in your kit????)

OOOOOH! I am so with Liss regarding a Volleyball kit!!! I play, my daughter plays and several of my friends play. I also have several photos playing mud volleyball in support of the March of Dimes. A volleyball kit is very much needed!

04-23-2009, 09:25 AM
I'm going with $44.99.

04-23-2009, 11:43 AM
that is a lot in the kit! Kinda hard to price, but zI would say $48.99

04-23-2009, 07:37 PM
The price is:????"??????': $72.00:biggrin::goodluck:

04-23-2009, 07:48 PM
I do paper scrapping, too. Based on the prices here in No. Texas, I come up with $77.58 + tax. You didn't specify whether we should include tax:

So including $6.40 tax = $83.98

Without tax = $77.58

Great kit. I have to wait to see if my grandson plays baseball this year.

Hugs, Diane:biggrin:

04-23-2009, 07:54 PM

04-23-2009, 08:11 PM
My guess is $29.99. Great kit!

04-23-2009, 09:05 PM
Love your kit Alisha!
My first and second guesses were already taken -- so I am going to say $20.99
My reasoning is based on the assumption that all the goodies would be packaged together to entice the scrapper (my LSS that has since closed used to do this) to snag it and make a few pages.
and my other reason is, I wouldn't be paying that much for a fun and funky kit, not that I wouldn't want to:laugh:

04-23-2009, 09:06 PM
OK, my gess is based on certain things being sold by the package like the flowers and button; purchasing the stamp as a rubber stamp; and the paper by the piece - it came to

$67.35 before tax

04-23-2009, 09:20 PM
I know I've bought paper packs that are usually around $30 plus if you bought all the embellishments separately I'm thinking upwards of at least $60 for the whole kit if you purchased it all separate. Hope I'm close! Good challenge, also makes us realize how lucky we are to do digital!

04-23-2009, 10:20 PM
My guess for the contest is $78.50

04-25-2009, 11:17 PM
When do we get to find out how far off our guess was????

04-26-2009, 03:44 PM
This was so fun seeing everyones guesses!! Thank you all for playing along!
Now the total that my local scrapbook store gave me.............

jessrdgs guessed $46 and was the closest!!! Congrats!!!

Be sure to pick it up while it's on sale! I'll be playing Digi vs Paper this weekend for NSD so keep your eyes peeled for your chance to win!!

04-26-2009, 05:15 PM
That is so awesome!*woot

04-26-2009, 05:40 PM
Congrats jessrdgs

This was fun trying to figure out the price.

LOVE your new kit - what a FANTASTIC guessing game - WOW - $46.70!
Never would have guessed that much!

Congrats jessrdgs!

04-26-2009, 10:15 PM
Congrats, jessrdgs!! Super fun game, Alisha...can't wait for the ones this weekend at the big NSD shindig!!

BTW..I'm with the other gals...volleyball would be GREAT!!! (Sophia plays)

04-26-2009, 10:39 PM
wow how tricky is this: I reakon in aust. having reviewed my supplies, it would be around $55 dollars here. gee i am saving heaps now gotta love that!

04-26-2009, 11:17 PM
That's the best part-$46 or $6 AND you reuse everything again and again! Even with printing costs, you are still ahead!! I usually create 2-3 pages with each kit and pay $16 ish to print. I'm still over 50% cheaper!! Boy that makes Digi even more affordable.

04-30-2009, 06:06 AM
This was so much fun! I can't believe how much that kit would have cost!
