Join me here on Friday, March 27 at 9pm EST for another fun speed scrap! It is sooo much fun and everyone gets a prize just for participating! One lucky person will get a $5.00 coupon to spend in my store!! I hope to see you there!

If you want a reminder, go here (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=607&day=2009-3-27)!

Here's the rundown if you've never done a speed scrap before!! During the hour, I will give you prompts every ten minutes to tell you what you need to do on your LO, you will give 7 prompts total. The first one is at 9pm and the last one will be at 10pm. After the last prompt at 10pm, you will have 1 hour to complete your LO, post it in the speed scrap gallery and link back to the forum.

We, of course, that you use one of the kits you purchased here at GDS, but it is not required. You do not need to have anything special ready, just your stash of pics and kits! You never know what you are going to need! It is just for fun and you just do the best you have with the prompts you are given. Dont' have something? Then compromise!!! Not a problem!!

Any questions, just ask!!!!

By the way, here is the prize for tonight!
http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee167/therottenprincess/sb_sosimple01_LRG.jpg

This is actually a hybrid project! I have needing to get my recipes organized for a while now, so I made this little recipe book kit to do it! The whole thing can be printed out and put into a binder to organize your recipes! You just fill in the pages, print them out and put into the clear plastic sleeves to protect them, and put them in a binder!

Here is what comes in the So Simple Recipe Book Vol. 1:

3 Cover Pages
3 Back Pages
5 different colored recipe pages w/hole for pic
5 different colored recipe pages w/out hole for pic, but decorated with graphics
5 full pages for continued recipes or index or table of content pages
1 sample page

I really hope you all like it!!!

Good evening girls! Welcome to tonight's speed scrap! So glad to have you all here! Are you all as ready for the weekend
as I am? It is time to relax and have some fun!

Here is a brief explanation of the rules! Just in case someone here is new and doesn't know how this is done!

I will give you 1 prompt/suggestion every 10 minutes for 1 hour. Just do your best, if you don't have something I suggest, just find something similar,
this is supposed to be fun, not stressful, ok?? Anyway, at the end of the hour I will give you my last prompt and then you will have 1 hour to complete
your LO and post it to the gallery, then come back here and post letting me know your finished! - I will give you the link at the end. As long as you get your LO posted by 11pm EST, you will get my participation
prize I posted, So Simple Recipe Book Vol 1.! Plus, 1 of you will get $5.00 to spend at my store! Woo hoo!

Are you ready? Any questions, just ask, k?

Here we go! The first one is going to be the toughest and the rest should be cake!!

1. Find 4 different pictures for your LO. Crop them into squares or rectangles and make 1 bigger than the rest and the other 3 the same size, plus do a photo treatment to them - black and white, sepia, retro, whatever you want, just so they are not AS IS....no what I mean?

i am not sure what program you use, but I like to duplicate my photo (i keep this just in case I do something too weird I can't undo), then desaturate the copy. I will pick a color (usually some kind of brown) with the color picker tool so that it is my foreground and then colorize it.

Well so much for the layout I have started...

Wow! I didn't realize the 1 paper thing was going to cause such a frenzy!!! I will have to keep that in mind for future speed scraps....use many papers!! :)

1. Find 4 different pictures for your LO. Crop them into squares or rectangles and make 1 bigger than the rest and the other 3 the same size, plus do a photo treatment to them - black and white, sepia, retro, whatever you want, just so they are not AS IS....know what I mean?

2. Find 1 paper for your background can be patterned or plain, but this is the only paper we will be using!

3. Find 1 frame and frame your biggest picture.

4. Put the other 3 pictures around your bigger picture, layered in some way and all touching the biggest picture.

I just did some twisting and turning of the little ones and tucked them under the frame.

That was exactly what I had in mind!!!

HI everyone!

I sent the dh to walmart to buy shoes for the kids (if he'd just stop calling me!)
oh! with the kids, LOL...

and put the other two to bed (well and one is at grandma's for the night)....read little bear, sung songs, said prayers and I'm HERE!!!

Can't wait to see if I can catch up!

Hi Jenn! Glad you made it!!!

Well, Sparkles is making me nervous with all that fancy talk about the effects she is applying to her photos. <G> Gee, I'm afraid mine will probably be very elementary! I was a little slow with the first couple of steps but I'm with you so far.

My dh said, "well, what will you have to do with everyone gone?"

I said...."oh, I'm sure I'll find something"

to quote Hollie...mwahahahaha!

Hi Jenn! Glad you made it!!!

Okay I'm gonna have to beg forgiveness for wandering amelessly off the path distracted by shinney objects cause I love the layout I ended up making and don't think I'll have time to make a "approved" version but I'll try.. But so love this and the colored 4 pictures are to blame you threw a picture in my head and i was off.

6. Add at least 6 embellishments somewhere on your page, preferably layered on and near your pics.

7. Lastly, add a date on the page and 1 sentence of journaling. Journaling is optional, date is not...lol

You now have 1 hour to complete your LO's and post to the speed scrap gallery (http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=927), then come back here and post letting me know that you are finished so that I will know to get your Participation Prize to you!
