and here's another location for some great Photoshop freebies and many work in Elements, too. I used one of these actions to make the multiple photos effect in my LO My Office.

A compliment/counterpart to all of these fantastic PhotoShop Actions for PSP users might be to see Suz Shook HERE (http://users.adelphia.net/~suzshook/) (have a look around, you'll be glad you did), also see Gary Barton HERE (http://pixelnook.home.comcast.net/) (likewise, have a look around, you'll be glad you did). Each has wonderful marvels for the scripting inclined for PSP 8 and above. Also, for those with higher versions, you might want to check the COREL homesite for newsgroups. COREL has a NG for scrapping, scripting, and at least one ng for each version, V8 and up! I also have listed a colour management list, one for "FEATURE REQUESTS", another for "PHOTOGRAPHY", another for "GRAPHICS", and yet another for "SCRAPBOOKING", and finally, one for "SCRIPTING" (which is equivalent to PhotoShop Actions).

Have fun!

Huggies,
Ila

LOL - heheheheh...my group teaches paint shop pro from the ground up:~)
Ok, here's my site: www.pspmadeez.org (http://www.pspmadeez.org)

We are gearing up for the scrapping onslaught this season (especially since it's owner has been 'bitten' so badly). LOL. Anyway, our group begins teaching PSP (an all new season) with emphasis on digital scrapbooking on September 12. All are invited and welcome! We're starting an all new feature this season for the weekend called "Scrappin' Saturday". Members can do whatever they want with donated "FREEBIE" materials. Personally, I can't wait to see what they do with our provided materials. ;~)

Huggies,
Ila

your classes sound wonderful, but I don't think I could spare another brain cell to learn another graphics program ; )))

Know just what you mean, Liz. That's why I don't try PS or PI or any of the other fab products out there. NO TIME! lol

I love Atomic Cupcake stuff. I am a proud member of the Atomic club. LOL. Anyway, anyone know where I can snag some Photoshop styles? I got a tip from a gal at DST but those styles wouldn't load for some reason.

To avoid joining Atomic Cupcakes for no reason........ do they charge (on top of your joining fee) for downloading the actions? Or does the joining fee cover the actions you download as well?

Deb said it's just a monthly fee and you can download as much as you want during that month.

This explains why your username seemed so familiar.*smile I have been a member of your yahoo group, although not active for quite some time now. Fantastic group for learning & for getting out of a creative slump.

:) I raided these sites a week ago. :) Now I have found an whole new way to be lazy. Not to mention ive finally figured out what the whole action thing is about. I felt so silly. I knew though that PS could do much more than I was learning. Ill get it all a bit at an time.

I doubt anyone can know everything about PS anyway - it is so comprehensive. And if you ever did figure it all out, they post a new upgrade and you had more stuff to learn! LOL

So True Jennifer, I think they do that on purpose too!! Drives me crazy... especially that they change function keys... I'm a creature of habit and have a hard time with all the changes :(

Okay, I joined AC and got some great actions, but can someone tell me the best way to get them into PSE5, I can't wait to use them?

One of Atomic Cupcakes newest actions is the cut out action. It is awesome for making digi stickers. They look so real! They are not perfectly flat, they have a little bit of lift to them, so they look like they were applied to the page and could be lifted off.

They do work in Elements. I've been using some of them for quite awhile now. I first learned about Panos on the PhotoshopElementsTechniques forum.

His effects, styles & actions are incredible!

These actions look very interesting. May I know how to use them in PSE6 or be directed to where I can learn? I downloaded some of the free ones to try but I want to make sure I can use them before purchasing more.

Thanks

For PSE6, copy the atn file into C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Photo Creations\photo effects (assuming you installed it on your c: drive).

Open PSE6, and open the .psd file that came with it using PSE6, and save it as a PNG file with the same name as the atn file and put it in the same location.

You can then find the actions in Effects\All. All the icons you saved an pngs will be displayed and clicking on them and clicking apply will launch the corresonpding action.
