Hello everyone, Vicki of Dana’s Footprint Digital Design  here, I will be your host this month. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year break… I know I did, a very relaxing time out at the beach, but it is back to the grind stone now!!

We decided to try something a little different last month. You will not be seeing the preview of the kit to start with. Surprise again! It will be like waiting for that present you’ve had your eye on under the tree, but have to wait until Christmas morning! So it should prove to be a little bit more of a challenge, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what you come up with and your response. We’ll review it at the end of the month after reading your comments and see if we’ll carry on doing it this way.

The other contributors and hosts you know well if you’ve been a participant of past Progressives, Darlene of Studio4 Designworks & Ginger of Ginger of Gingers Scraps N Pixels
So let’s get to the task at hand and have some fun! The object of the Progressive is to complete one page over the course of three weeks by following instructions given in tasks posted each week. A progressive scrap is a *slow* speed scrap and I know lots of you like speed scraps, but may not have the time. So here’s how it will work.
On the first of each month, Prompt 1 will be posted, consisting of instructions for starting a scrapbook page that will then be built upon through additional instructions every 3 days.
The idea is to work along with the challenge as the tasks are being announced, each task to be completed & posted prior to starting on the next prompt. (Once you post a prompt’s results, you’re finished. Don’t change your work for that particular prompt.)
At the end of the third week, you should have a completed page!
It’s fine to start late or catch up if you miss a prompt. Just be sure to complete & post each task before you look at or start the next one. It’s more fun that way!
I will be giving you a download that consists of either papers or ellies to work with on each prompt. By the end of the Challenge, you will have a great little kit that was created by myself and Vicki of Dana of Dana’s Footprint Designs & Ginger of Ginger’s Scraps ’N Pixels.
——————————————————————————
So to recap – here’s the order:
1. On the first day of the month we will post Prompt 1. Then, there will be a post every three days with a new prompt.
2. Add only the items listed in the prompt given. You may add/alter shadows at any time.
3. Once you’ve posted your layout for that particular prompt, it is done and you may not go back and change it. You may only build on the previous prompt layout following the new step for the next prompt.
4. We will post the prompts sequentially in the thread. If you have missed a prompt, it’s fine to start late or catch up. Just be sure to complete & post each task before you look at or start the next one.
5. Post your layouts no later than midnight (EST) of the day before the next step is due – this will be every three days.
6. Post your layouts in the *Progressive Challenge* gallery HERE.
7. Link your layout back to this forum thread so we can have a look at your creations and leave you some love!
8. In lieu of a posting bonus, by the end of the challenge, you will have yourselves a nice little kit.
9. This challenge counts towards the Scrapping 7 Challenge!
PROMPT 1 – MONDAY, 5th January.

PROMPT 1

1. Zip 1 has 9 papers in it. Choose one background paper, then cut 3 to five strips of papers from the rest and place them somewhere around one of the top corners. Then cut another 3-5 strips and place them somewhere around one of the bottom corners.. stacked on each other.

Post your first prompt in the GALLERY and then back here so we can all see and enjoy what we’re all doing! Please leave some love on each others layouts as it always nice to see some comments.
Have your layout posted for Prompt 1 by Thursday, January 9th, 4pm CST and I will have Prompt 2 ready to go later that evening.

Happy New Year everyone! Tasanee here, aka Arizona Girl.

This month’s Multiple Photo Challenge is go work on Clusters. Not only does your photo have to have 2 or more photos to qualify for this month’s challenge but you need 2 or more clusters (a cluster: two ore more elements grouped together).

Here are a few of examples of multiple clusters on a single page:

layout by angeldevildog using kit “Overalls” by Arizona Girl with Template “Cut Me Out Vol 1″

Layout by Brenian Designs using kit “Magic and Joy” by Studio4Designworks and template “Cut Me Up Vol 2” by Arizona Girl.

Layout by mkgilbo using kit “Shabby Chic Christmas” by Arizona Girl and template “Doodle Frames Templates” by LissyKay Designs

Notice how all three of these layout have at least 2 distinct clusters.

When I started out scrapping I looked at a lot of layouts for inspiration on how to cluster. What I found that worked best for me was to start with one flower, one leaf, and at least a third element that did one of three things:
1- Sat behind sort of matted behind the flower and leaf
2- Extended out and up/over away from the flower and leaf
3- Swirled or circles moving away from flower/leaf adding interest.
Play with your clusters and see what helps/works for you.

Rules for the Multiple Photo challenge:
(1) You must use at LEAST 2 photos on your page and your layout must be unique, it*can only be used for this challenge. And for this month have at least 2 Clusters
(2) Your layout also counts as one entry towards the Scrappin’7 Challenge.
(3) Use of GDS products is strongly encouraged and greatly appreciated, but make sure you give credit.
(4) Please post your layout in the Multi-Photo Gallery HERE
(5) Come back to the Multiple photo thread  and post what you created, and link it to the gallery, so we can all leave you some love!
(6) HAVE FUN!

Do you all know how to link your images back to the gallery? .. If not, have a look HERE

Also… here’s how to assign keywords to your layouts to give the credit back to the designer.

Let’s see how creative you are and have fun!

Everyone who participates will receive this mini kit to coordinate with the other posting bonuses for this month. If you participate in all the challenges you will have a full kit at when the month is over.

Welcome to the January Digi Dish Challenge. Are you ready to do some digiscrap baking?

I had a lovely Christmas! It rained all day and was wet, but it was still wonderful. I hope you had a great Christmas, too. If not, no worries! I’m sure this year will bring a few good memories:)

For this challenge, you should create a layout using at least the ingredients listed on the recipe. You can then add your own ingredients to make the layout your own! There is also a “Want More?” ingredient and an “optional” ingredient to add a little more to the recipe. They are both optional but are fun:) So, what are we waiting for?

Here is the recipe!
