SEPTEMBER 2014 PROGRESSIVE Scrap Challenge
Welcome to the SEPTEMBER Progressive Challenge. Darlene here, of Studio4 Designworks, and I will be your host this month. I hope the Summer has been fantastic for you all and for those with young ones, it’s time too pack them off to school. That should mean you have more time to scrap! And I know I have to apologize as I ran out of time and didn’t get mine completed last month. I’m hoping to find time today before I have to get back to work tomorrow. August was a crazy month for me, and I just found out I’m going to be a Grandma – so lots of excitement in my family right now!

The other contributors and hosts you know well if you’ve been a participant of past Progressives, Ginger of Ginger of Gingers Scraps N Pixels & Vicki of Dana’s Footprint Digital Design.

So let’s get to the task at hand and have some fun! The object of the Progressive is to complete one page over the course of three weeks by following instructions given in tasks posted each week. A progressive scrap is a *slow* speed scrap and I know lots of you like speed scraps, but may not have the time. So here’s how it will work.

On the first of each month, Prompt 1 will be posted, consisting of instructions for starting a scrapbook page that will then be built upon through additional instructions every 3 days.

The idea is to work along with the challenge as the tasks are being announced, each task to be completed & posted prior to starting on the next prompt. (Once you post a prompt’s results, you’re finished. Don’t change your work for that particular prompt.)
At the end of the third week, you should have a completed page!
It’s fine to start late or catch up if you miss a prompt. Just be sure to complete & post each task before you look at or start the next one. It’s more fun that way!
I will be giving you a download that consists of either papers or ellies to work with on each prompt. By the end of the Challenge, you will have a great little kit that was created by myself and Vicki of Dana of Dana’s Footprint Designs & Ginger of Ginger’s Scraps ’N Pixels.

——————————————————————————
So to recap – here’s the order:
1. On the first day of the month we will post Prompt 1. Then, there will be a post every three days with a new prompt.
2. Add only the items listed in the prompt given. You may add/alter shadows at any time.
3. Once you’ve posted your layout for that particular prompt, it is done and you may not go back and change it. You may only build on the previous prompt layout following the new step for the next prompt.
4. We will post the prompts sequentially in the thread. If you have missed a prompt, it’s fine to start late or catch up. Just be sure to complete & post each task before you look at or start the next one.
5. Post your layouts no later than midnight (EST) of the day before the next step is due – this will be every three days.
6. Post your layouts in the *Progressive Challenge* gallery HERE.
7. Link your layout back to this forum thread so we can have a look at your creations and leave you some love!
8. In lieu of a posting bonus, by the end of the challenge, you will have yourselves a nice little kit.
9. This challenge counts towards the Scrapping 7 Challenge!

Here is the kit you will have by the time you are done – AUTUMN LOVE. It coordinates with the lovely collab the designers have created this month along with Posting Bonuses for other challenges. You will have a lovely HUGE kit when you are done if you participate in all of the challenges!

PROMPT 1 – MONDAY, September 1st

Zip one has seven papers in it. Choose one as your background. Next I want you to create a cluster of papers. It must be 3 or 4 papers, all reduced down in size, or create rectangular or square shapes and clip your papers to it. They should vary in size. They must be stacked, one on top of the other, angled in any direction as you like. This will act as the main focal point of your page, so place it strategically. Then, I want you to duplicate those same 3 papers, reduce it down to a small sized group and place it in any one of the 4 corners of your page.

Post your first prompt in the GALLERY and then back here so we can all see and enjoy what we’re all doing! Please leave some love on each others layouts as it always nice to see some comments.
Have your layout posted for Prompt 1 by Thursday, September 4th, 4pm CST.

Hello and welcome to the September Font Challenge! This is April of LyllahRaven Designs and I am happy to bring you a cute little font that I found to use this month. I wanted to stay with the theme that Tricia used last month which was a simple, clean, journaling font. The one I picked also has a bit of fun thrown in, because that is just my style!

Welcome to the August Digi Dish Challenge. Are you ready to do some digiscrap baking?

Ack! I’m late posting! I am currently travelling around Europe and so my access to the Internet has not been brilliant but better late than never:)

For this challenge, you should create a layout using at least the ingredients listed on the recipe. You can then add your own ingredients to make the layout your own! There is also a “Want More?” ingredient and an “optional” ingredient to add a little more to the recipe. They are both optional but are fun:) So, what are we waiting for?

Here is the recipe!

It’s Marcie from Designs by Marcie with this month’s Multiphoto Challenge.  If your like me, you have found very little time to be on the computer this summer!  The kids have just monoplied me!  I can hardly believe that its August already and school will be starting soon for some of us.  We are one of the few lucky ones that do not start till September!   Go US!!!

For this challenge, I’m requiring you to make a layout using at least 4 photos.  It can be more, but not less than 4.  I am also requiring that you have it be about your favorite vacation or get away.  Get creative and think outside the box because your favorite get away may not actually be on a vacation.  It can be something you can do daily to get away from all the hubbub.  A friend told me that her favorite get away was her bathroom!  She could not make a call or get peace and quite while being with her young children, therefore she took the phone to the bathroom, locked herself in, and made those important calls or took a few minutes to herself.  I did ask what happened with the kids?  She said she put them in the playroom and had a monitor with her.  She could still hear if there was an issue and take care of it.  Whew!  I was worried there.  For her that was her favorite get away, because all moms know that on vacation your still on call.  :)

Rules….
(1) Your layout must be unique, and can only be used for this challenge.
(2) Your layout also counts as one entry towards the Scrappin’7 Challenge.
(3) Use of GDS products is strongly encouraged and greatly appreciated.
(4) Please post your layout in the Multiphoto Gallery HERE
(5) Come back here and post what you created, and link it to the gallery, so we can all leave you some love!
(6) HAVE FUN!

Do you all know how to link your images back to the gallery? .. If not, have a look HERE

Also… here’s how to assign keywords to your layouts to give the credit back to the designer.

Let’s see how creative you are and have fun!

At the end of the month, everyone will get this participation prize.

Hi! Dani of JB Studio hosting the August Be Inspired Challenge again. I’m glad to be back with the challenge.

It’s freezing down here in South America but I know most of you are facing hot days and also school off time, so some are traveling and having fun. I’ve been noticing lots of summer and beach kits all around. That’s why I decided to search for a picture of the ocean. I browsed “ocean” on pinteres and I just couldn’t resist this one since I love turtles.

What I really love about this picture is that you don’t need to scrap a beach or summer picture (maybe you are already tired of that LOL). You can work on other themes such as adventure, birth, gift of life, strength, family traditions… the sky isn’t the limit!

Get inspired by this picture and make a layout.

Everyone who participates in this month’s challenge will receive this participation prize from JB Studio. (yeah, me!)

The rules for the challenge :

(1) Your layout must be unique, and can only be used for this challenge.
(2) Your layout also counts as one entry towards the August Scrappin’ 7 Challenge.
(3) Use of GDS products is strongly encouraged and greatly appreciated.
(4) Please post your layout in the Be Inspired Challenge Gallery
(5) Post the layout in the August Be Inspired Challenge Thread and a link to it in the gallery so we can leave you some love.
(6) HAVE FUN!

Please be sure to credit the designer’s kit/s when you post to the gallery. Please follow the terms of use for the font used in this challenge. Layouts are due by midnight EST on August 31.
